Your full series of aligners is precision-fabricated based on the approved plan. Each aligner is designed to apply the right amount of force to the right teeth at the right time, moving your smile forward efficiently.

Wearing Your Aligners
Each set of aligners is worn for the prescribed period before progressing to the next. Aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours per day and removed only for eating, drinking anything other than water, and brushing and flossing.

Protecting Your Results with Retainers
Once your final aligner is complete, retainers are the key to keeping your teeth in their corrected positions. Without consistent retainer wear, teeth will naturally tend to drift back toward their original alignment over time.
We provide custom retainers at the end of your SureSmile® treatment and walk you through the recommended wear schedule. Most patients move to nighttime-only wear after an initial full-time period.
